Dear Colleagues,
Once a year the Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics (LFD) organizes an
advanced workshop <
https://www.lfd.uci.edu/workshop/registration/>, which
outlines the advanced concepts of fluorescence imaging techniques and
instrumentation.
The workshop consists of:
1) advanced theoretical lectures by LFD scientists and invited speakers.
2) computer based training on data analysis and simulations using Globals
for Images software.
3) hands on laboratory training using the fluorescence microscopy
instrumentation of the LFD facility.
The workshop is designed for students who use fluorescence microscopy
instrumentation and techniques, as well as for researchers and industrial
scientists who intend to extend their knowledge of these fields.
Topics on the agenda:
Single Point and Scanning Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS)
Raster Image Correlation Spectroscopy (RICS)
Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) and Förster Resonance Energy
Transfer (FRET)
Number and Brightness (N&B)
Pair Correlation Function (pCF)
Particle Tracking (PT) in three dimensions
Deep tissue imaging, DIVER
Single plane illumination microscopy (SPIM)
Image Mean Square Displacement (iMSD)
Data analysis and simulations using Globals for Images · SimFCS software
