To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Dear Colleagues, We invite you to participate in a three day workshop. This free annual event is a combination of symposium, practical classes and open access to a wide variety of microscopes. This year's symposium is focused on Super-Resolution Microscopy. It is open to the international research community and only requires registration. Please visit the website for a complete schedule and list of equipment <http://microscopy.med.yale.edu>http://microscopy.med.yale.edu Name: 2011 Yale Microscopy Workshop Time: June 7 - 9th, 2011 Location: Yale Medical School, The Anlyan Center (TAC), New Haven, CT Cost: Free on-line and on-site registration Information: <http://microscopy.med.yale.edu/index.html>http://microscopy.med.yale.edu/index.html Features: - symposium on Super-Resolution Imaging - walk-in clinics, demonstrations and open access to fully functional microscopes - multi vendor participation (over 8 vendors) - a practical "micro-course" will be offered on photoconversion In addition to a large variety of confocals, spinning disks, and widefields provided by over 8 vendors, multiple super-resolution microscopes will be available for use throughout the workshop. Several microscopes will have their first open-access debut at this event: - Nikon N-STORM microscope - Leica ground state depletion for super-resolution - Vutara SR-200 3D multi-channel super-resolution microscope Reservations can be made for many of the instruments after registration. View this as an opportunity to perform a "surgical strike" exploration of new instrumentation or techniques without any financial or time commitments. Feel free to come for advice from vendor representatives or to try out a microscope even if you are not attending a class or a seminar. Please see the website for free registration, a schedule of events, and list of equipment. <http://microscopy.med.yale.edu/index.html>http://microscopy.med.yale.edu/index.html Please feel free to disseminate information about this workshop by word-of-mouth or through email at your institution. Need to try out an instrument that is not on the list but manufactured by a vendor that is already participating? Write to an organizer and we'll see if they can bring it. We look forward to seeing you there - please reserve early.
