Hey Microscopists,

To save everyone the significant amount of search time it took me, if
anyone ever needs a 3D model of an adult mouse for their CAD designs, you
can get a great 3D image stack of one from the Digimouse project:
https://neuroimage.usc.edu/neuro/Digimouse_Download

You can then take the 3D CT image and load it into FIJI -> binarize the
stack and render an isosurface -> export the isosurface as a wavefront
object -> load the wavefront file into MeshLab and scale and translate the
image accordingly and add the desired shader ->Export the MeshLab surface
as a *.wrl file and voila, 3D mouse!

If you want to save yourself the trouble, you can get a copy of the *.wrl
file I made for myself here:
https://grabcad.com/library/adult-mouse-model-from-digimouse-ct-image-1

NOTE: the model is fairly unprocessed and still includes the wooden frame
that was supporting the mouse in the original CT image.

Cheers,
   Ben Smith
