Hello All,
Welcome to 3rd Annual Basic Confocal Workshop,
held in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University, to be held
Friday, Nov. 4 at 9a..
This one-day workshop provides an exciting opportunity for
students/researchers to gain hands-on experience to state-of-the-art technology
in an intimate environment.
There will be a lecture to start the day, with multiple
rotations on the following equipment;
State of the Art!!!
Leica SP8 – High speed point scanning confocal with spectral
capability HyD (high sensitivity) detectors.
This system will also be fitted with a white light laser and digital
light sheet.
Nikon A1R-Si – High speed point scanning confocal with
spectral capability and GaAsP (high sensitivity) detectors. This system will also be fitted with a
Mightex Polygon DMD.
Olympus FV 3000 - High speed point scanning confocal system
with GaAsP detectors and Tru-spectral scanning capability.
Additionally;
Nikon A1 – Point scanning confocal with GaAsP detectors.
Nikon TiE with spinning disc. Both back-thinned EMCCD and sCMOS cameras
will be available. This system is also
fitted with a Bruker miniscanner for photo manipulation.
Registration is required, but participation is free!
Please contact Gary Laevsky, glaevsky(at)Princeton.edu, for
additional information and registration.
