Dear friends of microscopy,
there are just *5 days left *to apply for our *EMBO practical course on
Light Sheet Microscopy *to be held in Dresden Germany Aug 2-12th 2018.
http://meetings.embo.org/event/18-lsmWe have an exciting line-up of speakers and instructors to guide
selected participants through 10 intense days of microscopy with light
sheet systems. The course features a complete line-up of commercially
available light sheet microscopy technology including several flavours
of multi-view SPIMs, Ultramicroscope, lattice light sheet, SCAPE, diSPIM
as well as optical table setups and open access systems. The course
covers all aspects of light sheet technology from microscope assembly,
sample preparation, imaging to light sheet data processing with
commercial and open access tools.
We are looking for biologists, physicists and computer scientists to
form interdisciplinary teams that will perform experiments with their
own samples brought to the course. All this will happen in the
stimulating and open atmosphere of the Max Planck Institute of Molecular
Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden (MPI-CBG) for the third time in 6
years.
The course will be directly followed by the *10th Anniversary Light
Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy Conference* Aug 12-15th 2018 @MPI-CBG in
Dresden that brings together leading scientists in the light sheet field:
http://lightsheet.mpi-cbg.deStudents of the course are expected to actively participate in this
conference.
We encourage application on all levels from undergrads, PhD students,
post-docs, junior faculty to staff of imaging facilities. Travel
fellowships are available for students from Central and Eastern Europe.
Apply by *April 15th 2018!*
