Few slots are still available (due to cancellation) to register for the upcoming 7th Annual workshop on FRET microscopy, March 4-8, 2008. The registration will be closed as soon as we reach the limit of 30 participants. This workshop provides both theory and hands on training on the below mentioned microscopy techniques. We provide training on data analysis and data acquisition in various FRET microscopy techniques including Wide-field, laser scanning and spinning disk confocal, two-photon, spectral FRET, acceptor photobleaching, and FLIM-FRET microscopy. We also provide user friendly FRET data analysis software for free for the participants for the above mentioned microscopy techniques. Please visit the web site for more details about the workshop and for registration http://www.kcci.virginia.edu/workshop/workshop2008/index.php Also, few partial support is available for students and postdocs. Please contact me if you have any further questions or clarifications. Dear Friends Greetings! The registration for the 8th
Annual workshop on FRET microscopy March 2009 is underway. There is no payment
during the registration, so you better register to keep your spot. We will remind
you the registration fee payment during November 2008. As many of you know that we train the participants on FRET
data acquisition and processing using various microscope systems including
wide-field, spinning disk confocal, laser scanning confocal, Spectral imaging,
2photon, lifetime imaging, acceptor photobleaching, etc. We provide necessary materials and the data analysis
software for free as part of the workshop registration. The software can handle
8-bit, 10-bit, 12-bit, 14-bit, 16-bit images, time lapse and 3D FRET, etc. We
can also add functions depending on the workshop participants request. The
software is free for the participants which runs based on the freely available imageJ
software. Morning theory and the afternoon training with live samples,
and FRET standards. You can also bring your own samples to test. The teaching faculties are Margarida
Barroso, Keith Berland, Robert Clegg, Richard Day, James Demas, Karol
Gryczynski, Anne Kenworthy, Ammasi Periasamy, Fred Schaufele, Peter So, Michael
Stanley, Steven Vogel, Jin Zhang, and more. The following companies are sponsoring
the Workshop: Carl Zeiss, Olympus America, Nikon, Leica Microsystems, Chroma
Tech, Becker & Hickl, Boston Electronics, Picoquant, Iss, Intelligent
Imaging, Lambert Instruments You can visit the web site to see more info http://www.kcci.virginia.edu/workshop/index.php Best wishes, Ammasi Ammasi Periasamy, Ph.D. Director, Keck Center for
