Dear list helpers,
This is a question on behalf of my friend, who is not in the list. She has
an old Nikon A1R. The laser power control is not working well. She did
some research and found the AOTF control is likely the problem. The AOTF
is AA AOTF8c.400.650 and the driver is AA MDS. According to Nikon, the
driver has to be replaced. It is a little bit out of her budget as she
does not have the service contract any more - the system is almost 8 years
old. She is seeking for help or advice if she can buy the MDS driver
directly from AA and make the change by herself. She asked me but I did
not have any experience on this. I told the great list might help. Thanks
in advance.
