Thinking of attending the ARBF meeting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina? Thinking of adding light-sheet microscopy to your workflow? Thinking of solutions to large data imaging pipelines? Any of these would be a great reason for you to attend the Light-Sheet Satellite Workshop complete with presentations and hands-on opportunities. This full day workshop will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018.
Workshop Goals
This workshop is intended to help introduce participants to the various LSFM embodiments and to help identify the requirements in sample preparation, imaging and cyberinfrastructure to successfully support and grow this powerful research tool in multi-user environments. Participants can expect a broad scientific program covering topics such as:
• Light-sheet for fixed cleared applications (variants include Single Plane Illumination Microscopy (SPIM), Ultramicroscopy, Oblique Plane Microscopy (OPM) and Multidirectional SPIM (mSPIM).
• Optical clearing for fixed samples (commercial and home-brewed)
• Non-light-sheet high-speed, high-resolution techniques
• Image analysis & big data challenges
Presentations from labs who have successfully integrated this new and powerful technology from sample prep, image acquisition, analysis, storage and distribution. Exhibitors from ASI, LaVision, 3i, Caliper ID and Logos Biosystems (X-Clarity) as well as computational solutions from Bitplane (Imaris) and ThermoFisher Amira softwares will be participating in the hands-on sessions.
