We have revived a Leica MP unit at FDA, of the SP2 vintage. It used to run on an inverted DMIRB motorized scope.
 I am trying to run the scanhead on a DMRE upright motorized scope with the correct Leica upright coupler.
It is running V2.6 of the software.

Using the instruments Calibration.zip and Instrument Parameters in the appropriate folders of the Leica SW, I got the machine to run.  Yeah!

But since it was running on an inverted scope, I only see 2 options in the Leica SW when I run Tools/Microscopes---
DM- manual, and DM- IRBE, I do not see any upright scope selections.

Yet I can see the other parameters for the upright microscopes in Parameters.lhw which you can open in Leica SW, but cannot store the setting.
I can even see the DM-RE parameters even in the Hardware.lhw file, but only further down in the file-maybe inactivated.

Advice to fix/edit?

Correction:
Yet I can see the other parameters for the other upright microscope stands in the Template.lhw file, but not in the Machine.lhw specific to my Leica MP.


I have another TCS SP2 and its Machine.lhw file has many microscope entries.


Advice how to fix/edit?  Notepad.exe. ANSI, UTF-8 what?
