*Registration is now open for the***
*2nd Multimodal Nonlinear Optical Microscopy Workshop***
*July 26 – 27, 2012***
*Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA*

Leaders and experts will introduce various modalities of nonlinear optical
microscopy and their integration on a single platform. Cutting-edge
developments and applications will be shown by lectures.  Lab training will
be provided to assist the trainees to build and/or use different modalities
of nonlinear optical microscopy. A poster session will be arranged for
participants to exchange their own research.**

*Lectures will be given by the following leaders and experts:*
-              Prof. *Ji-Xin Cheng*, Purdue University, “Label-free
Spectroscopic Imaging for Biology and Medicine”
-              Prof. *Marcus Cicerone*, NIST, “Functional Coherent Raman
Imaging using Broadband CARS”
-              Prof. *Wei Min*, Columbia University, “Stimulated Raman
Scattering & Stimulated Emission Imaging”
-              Prof. *Ji Na*, HHMI Janelia Farm Research Campus, “Adaptive
Optics in NLO Microscopy”
-              Prof. *Jeff Squier*, Colorado School of Mines, “Differential
NLO Microscopy”
-              Prof. *Garth Simpson*, Purdue University, “From Molecules to
Micrographs: Connecting NLO Image Contrast to Molecular Properties and
Local Structure”
-              Prof. *Chris Xu*, Cornell University, “Fiber Optics for NLO
Imaging” *
Industrial Speakers:*  *Kevin Jia* (Olympus), *Marco Arrigoni*
(Coherent), *Arnd
Kruger* (Newport)

Lab training will be provided by *Professor Ji-Xin Cheng* and his group:
http://www.chem.purdue.edu/jcheng/
Training topics include how to build a multimodal NLO microscope and how to
apply various modalities of NLO microscopy to cells, tissues, and
nanomaterials.
Trainees can test their own samples on the morning of July 28.

Applicants from academia, government, and industry from all countries are
welcome.  Registration deadline is *Friday, June 29, 2012*.

Online registration can be found at* *www.conf.purdue.edu/nlo.

We hope to see you this summer at Purdue!
