Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce the next FOM conference in Porto, Portugal, which will take place from Sunday March 28 to Wednesday March 31, 2021 (the week before Easter 2021). This is the next conference after the unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, cancelled FOM2020 Osaka, Japan conference.

FOM remains committed to advancing microscopy research and meeting the needs of participants and exhibitors by providing opportunities for sharing work and connecting scientists with the global scientific community. Currently, the FOM2021 Porto conference is scheduled to take place as planned, and we look forward to your participation. Importantly, following the COVID-19 global pandemic, we are closely monitoring the evolving situation. The health and safety of our participants and exhibitors is of the utmost importance. If health and safety circumstances require action to protect our participants and exhibitors, FOM will announce changes to the planned conference as soon as possible. For updates and changes to the conference please monitor the conference website.

FOM2021 in Porto will be the continuation of a yearly conference series (since 1988) on the latest innovations and developments predominantly in optical microscopy and their application in biology, medicine, and the material sciences. A technical exhibition will be an integral part of the upcoming FOM conference.
