Automated Imaging Workshop for High Throughput and Screening Applications

 

The Imaging Facility will be running a pre-workshop on June 17th in association with the Canadian Cytometry Symposiums 2nd meeting on June 19th and 20th and MDS Analytical Technologies.

 

 

June 17th

High Content Screening (HCS): Image Xpress Micro

IsoCyte Laser Scanning Cytometry

Rm1101 McIntrye Medical Sciences Building

 

The program is as follows:

 

13:00-14:00                 LUNCH (provided)

14:00-14:30                 HCS with the Image Xpress Micro

14:30-15:00                 IsoCyte Laser Scanning Cytometer

-         four colour imaging of adherent cells - similar to flow cytometry

15:00-17:00                 Hands on Imaging on the ImageXpress Micro and the IsoCyte

17:00-19:00                 Hands on Imaging on the ImageXpress Micro and the IsoCyte

 

There will be possible hands on sessions on Thursday June 18th if there is significant demand.

 

Participants are encouraged to bring their own samples for imaging and data analysis.

 

The McGill Life Sciences Complex has the Image Xpress Micro on site here at McGill and it is available for use by all researchers. The IsoCyte system will be on hand for demonstrations with MDS technical specialists David Kennedy and Steve Luke.

 

 

Registration is $25.

For attendees who are also attending the Canadian Cytometry Symposium (register at www.regonline.com/cca-acc2009) registration is free.
