This position will be required to work in close collaboration with imaging engineers, biochemists and immunologists. Basic data analysis methods will be needed to analyse high resolution multi-parametric imaging data sets. Research activities will focus on multiphoton, holographic and lightsheet instruments, although other imaging modalities (live cell/super-resolution) will likely be employed to provide complementary information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical microscopy, physiology, data analysis methods, and a keen interest in applying cutting-edge optical imaging tools, developed at the Research School of Engineering, to address specific biological questions related to research programs at the John Curtin School of Medical Research. The fellow will join a dynamic team of researchers (group leaders, PhD students, Postdocs) and have unlimited access to state-of-art volumetric microscopy e.g. video rate 3D multiphoton, lightsheet, holographic, oblique scanning; each enabling real-time volumetric imaging in cells to organs.
