We are either throwing our BioRad 1000 confocal into electronics recycling, or we will ship the components for use as parts. When last used, the electronics box on this unit almost always failed, and we have now had this in storage for almost a year.
We will include every last component, including the krypton-argon laser (which needs to be recharged: for about $4,000) and the fiber optic cable and the computer, etc. The only component NOT included is the microscope (which was an upright microscope).
