Does anyone have spare parts for a CARV 1 spinning disk or know of anyone who can repair a unit that is suddenly failing to communicate with Leica software through a COM port?

I've got a CARV 2 sitting on a shelf here. Maybe it's a common part you need?

John:

Like Steven, I'm trying to repair an older CARV spinning disk system, in my case a CARV-2.  Are you interested in "parting out" the CARV-2 unit that's sitting on the shelf?   Or perhaps there are others on the list serve that have CARV-2 units gathering dust?

Rick Ridgway

I'll find out if that's possible. Better the parts be put to use for science rather than collect dust.

Okay Rick, Steven,

It turns out we have a CARV 2 and a CARV 1 sitting on a shelf. Contact
me offline from the listserver to let me know specifically what parts
from each that you're after.

Sincerely,

John Oreopoulos
