CD8 & neuronal staining?

Search the CONFOCAL archive at
http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal

Hi everyone,
We're working with an Olympus Fluoview confocal microscope imaging thick
sections (100 um) of the trigeminal ganglia (mouse) and are trying to
stain for CD8's as well as the neuronal marker. Is anyone doing similar
work or have you had success with a staining protocol?
Thanks in advance for any help

Kira, have you tried looking at thick sections of spleen or lymph node stained with CD8? You should have screaming contrast between T cell zones as a positive control.
I have used rat x mouse CD8 from Chemicon with good success.
For neurons, NeuN (Chemicon) and Nissl stains (Invitrogen) should be quite positive as well in brain.
