Are there any suppliers/ manufactures in US/ Canada. Thanks in advance for your help. The index and dispersion may also be slightly off from normal coverslips. The price is quite high, but the optical quality and antireflection coating are excellent. No commercial interest. No commercial interest. We've used them in the past for odd custom optics (including super-thin windows) and they've always been good. regards justin On Wed, Mar 30, 2011 at 5:37 PM, Deron Walters <[hidden email]> wrote: > ***** > To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: > http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy > ***** > >> Hi all, I am looking for coverglass with anti-reflection coating. To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Just a word of caution while using AR coated coverslips with high NA lenses: In general, AR coating depends on angle of incidence, polarization of the light, and the refractive index of the medium. To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Dear list, I am also looking for coverslips with AR coating and would be happy if you share your experiences. Ideal for my purpose would be round 18mm coverslips with 0.17mm thickness. best, Michael On Mar 31, 2011, at 9:52 AM, Sudipta Maiti wrote: > ***** > To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: > http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy > ***** > > Just a word of caution while using AR coated coverslips with high NA lenses: > In general, AR coating depends on angle of incidence, polarization of the > light, and the refractive index of the medium. > Sudipta > On Wed, 30 Mar 2011 22:37:51 +0000, Deron Walters wrote >> ***** >> To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: >> http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy >> ***** >> >>> Hi all, I am looking for coverglass with anti-reflection coating. To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** AR coatings are fairly expensive, so I think you'd be hard-pressed to find somebody who would make them for coverslips since coverslips are usually considered disposable. That said, if you have the cash you could get some custom-coated. A run would probably cost you in the $2000-4000 dollar range though... If you plan on re-using them you'd also want them made from a fairly sturdy material.
