Hamamatsu’s Camera Products Group is pleased to announce that we are seeking applicants for a Regional Manager position in the Northwest. Our Regional Managers’ are the face of Hamamatsu to our customers, including dealer representatives and academic scientists. Each of our Regional Managers is responsible for dealer support and direct camera sales to university and research labs in the life sciences, physics and chemistry departments within their territory. This work includes training dealers, supporting demos, identifying key researchers in relevant fields, prospecting for new customers/applications, lead follow-up, territory sales management, gathering and reporting marketing feedback on products and understanding the competitive landscape. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain an advanced understanding of imaging technologies from design to implementation and to converse with accomplished professionals in all scientific disciplines.

Degree in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical/Biomedical Engineering or related field • 3 years in technical sales or marketing • Ability to travel 25-40% • 1 year experience in light microscopy • Demonstrated aptitude for on-the-job learning of new technical and scientific applications and concepts • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to convey complex technical information • Demonstrated ability as self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience • 2-3 years experience in life science, physics or chemistry lab • Sales training • 1-2 years hands-on experience with imaging software • Familiarity with Customer Resource Management software For over 50 years, Hamamatsu Corporation’s parent company, Hamamatsu Photonics K.K.
