The Center for the Study of Gene Structure and Function
of Hunter College of the City University of New York is seeking a talented and
dedicated technician for a position in the Digital Bio-Imaging Facility. Job
responsibilities include maintenance of confocal and wide field microscopes,
assisting in research, training users, and billing for use of the facility. To
be considered for this post an applicant should have a background in the
biological sciences, with some experience in microscopy. More advanced training
in image analysis techniques and confocal microscopy can be provided. Computer
expertise is a plus, as is experience with electron microscopy. The position
available is at the technician level, salary will be in the range $35,000 to
$43,000, commensurate with experience and will include a full benefits package.
