Hi,
I have both an LSM780 and LSM980 that I would like to keep at 37C
continuously without having the main Zeiss controller ON. We are a
multi-user Facility and I fear that laser/s and fluorescent light source
will be left on when the microscope is not needed if we tell people to keep
the main switch on.
Is there a way to separate the Pecon heating control from the Zeiss system?

I have contacted Pecon through Pecon.biz website twice over the last weeks
and received no reply - is there a better contact available?
Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

You can directly connect the Pecon controllers to the wall, all of ours are setup this way

Hi
We have been associated with Tokai Hit a Japanese company that makes
precision stage top incubator and cage Incubators, They have stand alone
controller for the incubator.  Both performance and support is excellent.

You may contact them as well. I heard that they recently started their
office in US.

NO COMMERCIAL INTEREST.

Contains commercial content:

Related to the issue of keeping stable microscope temperature control.  There are new ways to do temperature control without having to worry about keeping the microscope, stages and objectives stabilized.  The new VAHEAT system from Linnowave GmbH was developed by former researchers at Max Planck.  VAHEAT maintains precise temperature control at the sample, in the field of view.  No modification to the microscope is needed, the active device fits in the space of a conventional slide.

Thank you for the replies, on and off-list.

I will go with James' advice and power the heating directly, rather than
through the LSM main switch.

Would still be good to talk to Pecon direct, if someone had a phone number
I would be grateful.
Cheers,
Stephen
