SiMPore, makes an imaging cell culture device, CytoVu® that
empowers new opportunities in imaging studies. This novel tool is a
Transwell-like device that is enabled for live imaging. To do this, we
shrunk down the membrane, apical, and basal wells in order to fit them on a
standard microscope slide. Since the cell culture surface is part of the
slide, you can take your cells from the hood, to the incubator, to the
microscope, and back again.
Additionally, our membrane is a novel technology that is optically
transparent, just 0.1 µm thin, and highly permeable. Cells attach to the
CytoVu® membrane similar to glass, but they grow better since they are fed
on all sides by media.
Benefits:
- NanoBarrierTM Technology precisely controlled and arranged pore sizes
3um
8um
50nm (degradable or non-degradable) pores in 3um
50nm (degradable or non-degradable) pores in 8um
- Various Basal Well Depths with each product
100um - for very short working distance, confocal work
300um - for short-medium working distance, confocal work etc..
1000um - for long working distance objectives, upright microscopy,
larger volume for some Biochemistry/Molecular Bio needs
- co-cultured cells and all signals communicate at physiological distance
- experiments and imaging on one device (4 wells per slide)
- in-vitro device that mimics in-vivo conditions
Applications:
- Blood Brain Barrier (other barriers)
- tumor microenvironment (cell-cell or cell-matrix interactions)
- stem cells
- migration/invasion
- polarized cell growth
- co-culture
- tissue engineering
- cell differentiation/development
- drug permeability/absorption
With CytoVu®, you can culture, experiment, and image all on one device.
