Dear Facility managers and users

It is with great pleasure that we release the first version of datumo®, an open source software (EUPL) for database management.
datumo® is an online database manager developed at the Gulbenkian Institute for Science in order to respond to the increasing demand on tools for lab management.

datumo® can be used to manage animal house facilities, equipment and several other types of resources. Currently, it is being used with a resource scheduling tool that you can check at http://calendar.igc.gulbenkian.pt or http://calendar.igc.gulbenkian.pt/demo (DEMO site).

.Resource Scheduling
        -Ability to insert multiple resources, users, etc...
        -Multiple update and delete options
        -Ability to filter results
        -Dynamic reports for invoicing and statistics
        -Error handling tool with administration warning
        -User alert in case of confirmation failure
        -Multiple permission levels
        -Configurable administration/visualization levels
        -Possibility to restrict content (e.g. Users responsible for an equipment are only allowed to view or give permissions to their own equipment)
        -Possible integration with complete resource scheduling system (agendo®)
        -Possible integration with complete remote monitoring system (ekrano®)

    - Fully configurable backoffice
    - Ability to add/update/delete animal strain, cage, genotype, rack, room, litter, etc...
    - Powerful tool for multiple filtering and searching
    - Ability to check animal progeny
    - Animal history tracking
    - Task calendar

.Equipment management
    - Fully configurable backoffice
    - Ability to add/update/delete companies, class and type of equipment, etc...
    - Ability to add users to specific equipments

where you can login as an administrator or a regular user and experiment all the features as you like
