Dear Confocal Microscopy List,
I desperately need the maintenance and user manual for a Deltavision
(Serial # DV31105). Unfortunately, the earliest I could find is 1999 and
all of the hardware is different, particularly the fiber optic module. I
believe the SoftWorx manual I have is sufficient.
I also have an elementary understanding of deconvolution microscopy. I see
conflicting information on how to align the mercury bulb. One person told
me to make a snow angel, others say a Star Wars Tie Fighter, others say
simply a uniform circle. The DeltaVision has an Olympus mercury bulb
housing with serial # 843657. Does anyone know how to align this thing?
Also, the protocol says to use a mirror slide to align the fiber optic
module. We tried a CD, chromium-plated metal disc, and gold-coated plastic
disc. So far, we can't get concentric circles.
If we could speak over phone, that would be amazing.
Thank you,
Heather
