Definite Focus for multi position time-lapse imaging

Hello

We have Zeiss LSM 710 and I want to use it for multi position time-lapse imaging preferable with Definite Focus. Problem is that the Definite Focus switches itself automatically off when one is doing multi-position imaging.

Could the usage of some Macros solve this issue. Otherways said is there any macro available controlling DefFoc during multi position time-lapse imaging (eg. activating DF at each position). For example MultiTime. But as far as I understand MultiTime is meant for using AutoFocus which is to slow for me and I have to pay for it also.

Hannes,
This can be done with the MultiTime macro.  You can use Definite Focus.  Sometimes the DF control box says 'off' but Zen or Multi Time still controls it so you can ignore the box.  Zen cannot do anything involving Z with Definite Focus, it can only do a simple time series and only if the time interval is  >11 sec.  I have written up some instructions for Multitime that I can send to you directly.  They aren't perfect, but will get you going.
