The third and final round of applications to this year's ESRIC Super-resolution Summer School is now open and will close on Wednesday 28 February.

This residential summer school in Edinburgh will give you a thorough grounding in super-resolution microscopy in an informal and intimate setting. It brings together leading academics and the major suppliers of super-resolution microscopes to provide expertise and guidance in the theory and practise of structured illumination microscopy (SIM), stimulated emission depletion microscopy (STED), single molecule localization microscopies (PALM, sptPALM and dSTORM).
The programme will consist both informal lectures and workshops and you will have ample time to gain project specific advice from all of the academic experts and suppliers through dedicated Q&A sessions and informal social events. The course is suitable for anyone with prior experience of fluorescence microscopy looking to exploit the benefits of super-resolution microscopy in their research.
There are a limited number of places available on the course and applications must include a letter of motivation, describing your current use of microscopy, how you hope to use super-resolution in the future in your research and what you hope to gain from the course. This information will then be used as a basis for selection for the course.
The ESRIC Super-resolution Summer School is taking place in Edinburgh from 15-20 July and will give you access to the equipment and expertise of the Edinburgh Super-resolution Imaging Centre based at the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University.
