Was just wondering if anyone has got their hands on and has some experience
with using Azurite, an improved BFP mutant that was published a couple of
years ago in Mena et al in Nat. Biotech. 24 1569-1571.
Is it now as useful as EGFP, say, in terms of the usual parameters (brightness,
photostability, toxicity etc). I'm thinking of live-cell applications personally,
but information with in vivo or fixed samples is most welcome.
