We recently tried to use an sCMOS Andor Zyla 4.2 camera with Micromanager 1.4.23 + Andor SDK 3.13.30034 (inside Micromanager folder), on the same computer with Nikon NIS 5.02.00 build 1266 + Andor SDK 3.13.30001, but Micromanager crashes when trying to connect the camera through the Hardware configuration wizard!

We replaced the Andor SDK under the Micromanager folder to 3.13.30001 so that it matches NIS, but still had the same crash  with Micromanager when trying to connect the camera through the Hardware configuration wizard!

Interestingly, or luckily, the sCMOS Andor Zyla 4.2 is not available under Micromanager but still available from NIS!

Has anyone else run into a similar issue?
Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas would be much appreciated...

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
Serge Kaddoura.

Have you asked this question on the Micro-Manager mailing list? If not,
I highly recommend doing so because Andor's 3rd Party Support team
regularly monitors it for questions concerning Andor hardware and
Micro-Manager. I am not certain whether they check this list for tech
support issues.

In the mean time, I would suggest verifying that you haven't unknowingly
installed two BitFlow driver versions, which is entirely possible
because it appears that you have two different Andor SDK's installed on
the same machine.

Cheers, and see you on the Micro-Manager list ;)
Kyle
