FOCUS ON MICROSCOPY 2016 Taipei, Taiwan, March 20- 23, 2016 Incorporates the: 29th International Conference on 3D Image Processing in Microscopy 28th International Conference on Confocal Microscopy Dear Colleagues, Tuesday, December 22, 2015, the deadline for abstract submission for the FOM2016, Taipei conference is nearing. Please submit your abstract by this date. Abstracts for oral and poster presentations can be submitted through the conference website: http://www.FocusOnMicroscopy.org<http://t.ymlp316.com/uqazaemessaaaymafaeehj/click.php> where also the conference registration has opened and hotel information is available. The program for the conference will be finalized and available on our website on Jan. 26, 2016. Authors will be informed individually by email on the acceptance/placement of their contribution in the program around this date After the successful Focus on Microscopy conference in Göttingen earlier this year, FOM2016, will take place in Taipei, Taiwan in the week before Easter from Sunday, March 20 – Wednesday, March 23, 2016. It will be the next in a series of unique interdisciplinary meetings on advanced multi-dimensional light microscopy and image processing. For further details please visit the FOCUS ON MICROSCOPY website www.FocusOnMicroscopy.org<http://t.ymlp316.com/uyadaemessadaymadaeehj/click.php>. There in addition to general information the scientific program of this year’s Göttingen and other previous FOM conferences can be found under the link “Past conferences”. From 2004 onwards together with links in the scientific program to one page PDF abstracts of the contributions presented in that year. Please note also the "Search FOM data base " button for full searches over the digital FOM archive over the years. FOM2016 is the continuation of a yearly conference series, started in 1988 presenting the latest innovations and newest trends in optical microscopy, and their application in biology, medicine, and the material sciences. Key topics are: - Theory and practice of confocal and multiphoton-excitation microscopy - Super-resolution, nanoscopy imaging: from PSF engineering (4pi, SIM, STED), fluorescent activation/quenching, stochastic/centroid (PALM, STORM, GSDIM, SOFI and related techniques) to TIRF - 3D and 4D live cell and tissue imaging - Adaptive optics for microscopy - Developments in phase/interference microscopies - Light sheet microscopy - Advanced fluorescence imaging/spectroscopy: FRET, FRAP, FLIM, FCS - New fluorescence probes, proteins, quantum dots, single molecule imaging - Clearing and expansion techniques. - Coherent non-linear microscopies: SHG, THG, SFG, CARS. - Developments in phase/interference microscopies - Multi-dimensional fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy imaging - Correlated light/electron microscopy - Laser manipulation and tracking, photo-activation - Bio- and nano-materials, biosensors - OCT, endoscopy - Fast acquisition, automated and high-content microscopy - 3D image processing and visualization for multidimensional data Special FOM2016 conference topic: “Brain imaging” The conference series is in addition known for covering the rapid development of advanced fluorescence labeling techniques for (super)- resolution and multi-photon 3D imaging of -live- biological specimens. A technical exhibition will be an integral part of the Taipei FOM 2016 conference. Important dates/deadlines: Deadline for the submission of abstracts December 22, 2015 Acceptance contributions/program on the web January 27, 2016 Deadline for early registration February 21, 2016 FOM2016 Taipei March 20 – March 23, 2016 Easter Sunday 2016 March 27, 2016 To stay informed about the conference please leave your name and email at http://www.FocusOnMicroscopy.org/stayinformed Welcoming you to Taipei for the FOM2016 conference and exhibition, the FOM2016 organizers: - Fu-Jen Kao, National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan - Fred Brakenhoff, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands E-mail: [hidden email]<mailto:[hidden email]> Web: http://www.FocusOnMicroscopy.org |

I guess the following is relevant to many of us so I just reply within the list. I went to the page and wanted to check on possible funding supports for students but did not find one. So would the conference provide any kind of traveling funding that students can apply for? Thanks, Lu On 2015年12月9日 周三 at 上午6:00 Brakenhoff, Fred <[hidden email]> wrote: > ***** > To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: > http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy > Post images on http://www.imgur.com and include the link in your posting. > ***** > > Please note: early FOM2016 abstract deadline: 22 December 2015. > > FOCUS ON MICROSCOPY 2016 > Taipei, Taiwan, March 20- 23, 2016 > Incorporates the: > 29th International Conference on 3D Image Processing in Microscopy > 28th International Conference on Confocal Microscopy > > Dear Colleagues, > > Tuesday, December 22, 2015, the deadline for abstract submission for the > FOM2016, Taipei conference is nearing.
