FOCUS ON MICROSCOPY 2010 - Shanghai, China, March 28 31, 2010
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
23th International Conference on 3D Image Processing in Microscopy
22th International Conference on Confocal Microscopy
Dear Colleagues,
January 11, 2010, the deadline for abstract submission for the Shanghai FOM2010 conference is nearing. Please submit your abstract by this date
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations can be submitted preferably through the conference website:
http://www.FocusOnMicroscopy.org
where also the conference registration is open and hotel information and booking is available.
Deadline for abstract submission: January 11, 2010.
The program for the conference will be finalized and available on our website on Feb. 1, 2010. Authors will be informed individually by E-mail on the placement of their contribution in the program.
After the successful FOM2009 conference held in Krakow in April last year, the upcoming Focus on Microscopy 2010 will take place in Shanghai, China, in the week before Easter from Sunday March 28 to Wednesday March 31, 2010.
As the next in a series of unique interdisciplinary meetings on advanced multi-dimensional light microscopy and image processing, the FOM2010 conference will be hosted by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University at the Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center in the center of Shanghai.
Focus on Microscopy 2010 is the continuation of a yearly conference series presenting the latest innovations and new trends in optical microscopy and their application in biology, medicine and material/soft matter sciences.
Key subjects are:
-the theory and practice of multidimensional optical microscopies
-the high spatial resolution (SIM, STED, PALM, etc.), sophisticated excitation (CARS, Raman, SHG, THG, OCS) and fluorescence imaging modes (FRET,FLIM, FRAP, FCS) coming available for spatial light microscopy
-new techniques for functional studies and manipulation of cells and tissues
-automated and high-throughput microscopy techniques
-fluorescence activation, depletion and quenching techniques for cell biology
-related image processing and analysis approaches
The conference series is, in addition, known for covering the rapid development of advanced fluorescence labeling techniques for the confocal and multi-photon 3D imaging of -live- biological specimens.
Important dates:
Deadline for submission of abstracts: January 11, 2010
Acceptance of contributions, draft program ready : February 1, 2010
Deadline for early registration: February 20, 2010
