Dear all,

I was recently offered an used Olympus FV300 for a very low price. The system would come with  an upright microscope BX61WI. I have been always working with inverted microscopes, so I asked whether is possible, in principle, to replace the upright with a classical inverted machine like IX81 that stands in FV1000. For some reason, that I have not understood during my talks with olympus people, that seems unfeasible.

Has anyone ever connected an IX81, or actually any other inverted microscope to FV300? Old FV300 brochure talks of an obscure IX81SVSF - side port. Is there any peculiar feature of FV300 scanning unit that I do not consider? Please, help.

Many thanks in advance,

ranieri

Hi Ranieri - our FV300 has an inverted IX70. So it's possible.

Mike
