Has anyone heard of these
fluors? How are they?

Try our New
DyLightTM Fluorophore Conjugates at No Risk!
KPL couples three of the most common DyLight dyes, DyLight 488, 549 and 649 that have similar excitation and emission spectra to the dyes seen in the table below:
DyLight Performance Comparable to Alexa The performance of DyLight dyes is comparable to Alexa® dyes and superior to conventional CyTM dyes and fluorescein. Learn more about our growing line of DyLight 488, DyLight 549 and DyLight 649 antibody and streptavidin conjugates.
Risk-free Trial Program Take advantage of this limited-time offer and see for yourself! Evaluate a conjugate of your choice at no charge, a $75 value! KPL offers trial sizes of our anti-mouse, rabbit, human and rat conjugates and streptavidin. Click here for more details.
Introducing Quality Immunoassay Buffers Take the time and effort out of your buffer preparation with KPL’s new line of buffers. These convenient liquid concentrates eliminate the need for time-consuming buffer preparation. We offer a variety of buffers designed for use in general immunoassay applications such as Western blotting, gel electrophoresis, ELISA and sample preparation.
Experience these advantages when using KPL’s line of buffers:
Our line of buffers is growing so be sure to check back!

http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal I've used the DyLight at greater than 700nm excitation ranges. The DyLight fluorophore that excites at or around 780nm appears to be far brighter than the IRDye800 by LiCor. I didn't make any exact measurements, but the DyLight flourophores appeared brighter by eye. The traditional wavelength ranges in the visible region, what I have seen because I imaged these for a commercial enterprise, appeared to mimic the brightness of Alexa dyes, but it could have been the sample, concentration, etc. In any case, I plan to abandon the LiCor dyes for the DyLight in excitation wavelengths greater than 700nm. I didn't use the buffers. Jerry Kathryn Spencer wrote: > Search the CONFOCAL archive at > http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal > Has anyone heard of these fluors?
