To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** In these days of shrinking funding how many facilities in the world are using these alternative means to provide instruments to their users? I would like to hear of your experiences and what mechanism you used, ie direct from manufacturer or through third-party leasing agent. It would also be great if you could indicate how your facility charges users, just in general - full cost recovery, subsidised, etc I am aware this may be a sensitive topic for some so welcome responses off-list too. The fees and rates for microscopy found from open sources are being collected here: http://confocal-manawatu.pbworks.com/w/page/40058040/Microscopy%20Fees It would be nice to have the best practices of your interest added to the list as well.
