Hi all,

Although Drs. Vickie Frohlich and Dan Axelrod, have found that they
will not be able to join us again this year, we are pleased to
announce that Prof. Jurek Dobrucki from Jangiellonian University,
Krakow, will be participating.

With Alberto Diaspro, from the University of Genoa, Dr. Dobrucki,
wrote the Handbook chapter on Photobleaching, and he will lecture on
Photodamage: avoiding it and/or using it.

Other aspects of the preliminary program can be found at

http://3dcourse.ubc.ca/2008/students.php?page=program1page

Although it always hard to guess how many of the accepted applicants
will be able to complete the financial and visa arrangements, it
appears that there may still be room for 2-3 more in this year's
class.

Regards,

Jim P.

Jim

Glad to see the course is still doing well.
Please visit our web site to see if you might need any of our new
products.
We have redesigned all of our controllers and introduced some new
products.

The two newest are the Stable Z dish warmer and the EDU culture dish
system for education.

The Stable Z is a peripheral specimen warmer that accommodates any
brand of 35mm dish but does not induce Z axis drift from thermal
expansion.
Details available at. http://www.bioptechs.com/Products/Stable_Z/
Stable_Z.html

The EDU is meant for K-12 and two year colleges to do curriculum
relevant demonstrations of biological activity on a microscope.

There are numerous other additions and improvements also.

Let me know if you need anything for your course.

Dan

My apologies to all

I did not check to make sure that the auto address fill in was
corrected to go only to the sender.

I noticed it about 500 milliseconds after I hit send!

I did not mean to send this to everyone.
