Responsibilities
The Department of Biology at Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Developmental Neurobiology or Regenerative Biology. Specific areas of interest are either adult stem cells and their role in behavioral plasticity and/or tissue regeneration; or development of axons and/or axonal regeneration. Although appointment at the assistant professor level is preferred, applications at the associate professor level will be considered for candidates with a particularly strong track record. The anticipated start date is Fall 2012. A competitive startup package will be provided. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and conducting an independent, externally funded research program. The department has 33 full-time faculty members and administers programs in biology, biochemistry, and behavioral neuroscience for 1,200 undergraduates. It hosts 150 students in the Ph.D., Master's, and Professional Master's programs.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a doctorate and at least two years of post-doctoral experience in biology or a related field, a strong record of publications and potential for external research funding.
