There is a small plastic tip on a metal tab on the bottom of the turret that fits into a groove on the base of the filter wheel that locks the correct filter into place. The plastic part has worn smooth and it has become quite a challenge to get the filter cube in exactly the right place, especially for newer users learning the system. Has anyone tried to fix one of these? If so please let me know how you accomplished it. Or if anyone has an IX70 on the scrapheap, I'd be happy to pay shipping for the part (or even the scope as a source of repair parts). Thanks for the help and Happy New Year. Most Universities have one. Dan Dan Focht Bioptechs, Inc. 3560 Beck Rd.
