Hi all,
Fred Hutch has a new position open for an Image Analysis Specialist as part of the Genomics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource (core) at the Center. This position will collaborate extensively with individual researchers to develop integrative approaches to quantitatively understanding patterns in biological images, including super-resolution, 3D, and 4D microscopy images. The analyst will also interface with staff from a number of Fred Hutch Shared Resources, specifically Scientific Imaging, Bioinformatics, and Scientific Computing, and will report to Jeff Delrow, PhD, the Director of the Genomics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource. Developing image processing and analysis pipelines and new methods to quantify cell morphometric phenotypes and dynamics are major areas of interest here. There is also strong interest in modeling and incorporating machine-learning methodologies into existing pipelines.
We are looking for someone who wants to function independently in a dynamic research setting and comes in with extensive experience in quantitative image analysis, preferably while researching for an advanced degree.
