Dear Microscopy users,

The University of Chemistry and Technology Prague together with Charles University in Prague developed novel fluorescent probes which exhibit superior results to commercially available alternatives in wide-field, confocal and two-photon fluorescence microscopy.
Presented fluorescent probes show extremely high degree of selectively for mitochondria, very good photostability and low photo- and cytotoxicity, and may display lower systemic toxicity.
The two-photon fluorescent dyes of the presented invention can be employed for imaging of living samples for several hours with the possibility of reinjection.
Unique characteristics + advantages
• High mitochondrial selectivity
• Localization – interaction with cardiolipin, living and fixed cells
• Low cytotoxicity
• Excellent photostability (comparable to Cy5) exceeding commercially available mitochondrial probes (MitoTracker Green FM, comparable to MitoTracker Deep Red)
• Low staining concentrations 10 - 50 nM
• Possibility of cell washing and fixation without dye leaking
• Fast labelling (2-5 min., fully stable signal from 10 min.)
• Imaging of living animals for several hours
What it can be used for
• wide-field, spinning disc confocal microscopy, confocal fluorescence microscopy, structured-illumination microscopy, two-photon microscopy, etc.

Collaboration offer
• We have a number of free samples available for interested parties who will provide us some feedback when testing them.
