Hi all,

On behalf of the Advanced Imaging Center, I am excited to announce that Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz and I will organize the “Frontiers in Imaging Science II” conference at Janelia in 2019. We have had tremendous success in the first conference in 2017, bringing developers of instruments, imaging probes, analytical tools, data management infrastructure together in the same room with biologists to share ideas and discuss challenges.

Jennifer and I look forward to receiving many fantastic applications as we did in 2017 and we are very excited to welcome you to Janelia. This year, we focus on imaging technologies applicable mainly on the cellular and molecular levels.

Details of the conference can be found below. Please apply (have your abstract ready) also through the same link.

Dear Microscopy community,

I have recently started my own lab in the Biochemistry institute at Freie Universität in Berlin (https://www.bcp.fu-berlin.de/en/chemie/biochemie/research-groups/bottanellli/Research/index.html <https://www.bcp.fu-berlin.de/en/chemie/biochemie/research-groups/bottanellli/Research/index.html>) and we have a PhD position available.

We are looking for somebody interested in studying the mechanisms of polarized secretion at the Golgi using stimulated emission depletion (STED) imaging and employing CRISPR/Cas9.

Starting date: early in the new year (as early as January 2019 is possible).

Here is the job advert for more details.

Cheers

Francesca
