GFP and Venus

Hello,
Has anyone tried imaging with GFP and Venus in the same sample with any
success? Any experiences with this, good/bad, that anyone can share would be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Graham

Re: GFP and Venus

Hi Graham,

We had relatively good results separating the two proteins with linear unmixing on our Zeiss LSM 510 META confocal. We used 10nm steps for the spectral scans, collected spectra for GFP and Venus, and separated the two proteins either post collection or on the fly. I suppose the same could be achieved with other spectral systems. I must add though that the two proteins were quite bright and had little spatial overlap. Separation may be harder to achieve with lower mixed signals...

Julio.
