Zeiss apparently already has a GaAsP detector for both single photon work and a GaAsP NDD detector for multiphoton work. My question is whether anyone has looked at using the "conventional" non-NDD GaAsP detectors for use with two photon excitation. I do not think that there is a difference in the detectors themselves in an NDD and "non-NDD" set up. The difference being only in the light path in that in the case of NDD the path does not go back into the scanhead and is therefore not "descanned".
