Dear confocal mailinglist subscribers,

German BioImaging is proud to announce the third *GerBI Core Facility
Management Course*, which will take place from *8 to 12 June 2015* in
Konstanz - Reichenau Island (Germany). Core facility managers find
themselves in a variety of different roles that demand a broad set of
skills they traditionally haven't been taught in their academic career.
Managing budgets, marketing facility services, negotiating, dealing with
hierarchy, dealing with conflicts in a team or recruiting the right
people are some of the challenges people typically face in this
position. GerBI has hired hfp consulting, a group who specialises in
supporting scientists to improve their leadership and management skills,
to develop and run an intense, interactive and highly specialised
workshop that addresses these challenges.

This course is meant for scientists working or planning to work in a
life science Core Facility. *Application deadline is May, 1, 2015*.
Places are allocated to eligible applicants on a "first come, first
served" basis. Applications from scientists working in imaging Core
Facilities are given priority until March, 1. You can register for this
