Free to a good home - an older Bio-Rad Radiance 2000 scanning system. It
came of a Nikon Eclipse E800 and consist of lasers, scanhead, motorized focus unit, computer, venting unit, technical documentation. Before dismantling, the unit was in working conditions, although the lasers might be on their way out. Donated as is, shipping is responsibility of whoever accepts it. Please contact me off list if you have any questions. Thanks, Michal -- Michal Jarnik, Ph.D. Cell Imaging Facility Electron Microscope Facility Fox Chase Cancer Center Philadelphia, PA |

Hi Michal,
Have you found any takers yet? We use an older Bio Rad system for the scan head, but the software is very out-dated and runs in DOS. I would be interested in taking this, and I was wondering if it would be available and what the cost of shipping would look like (estimate), so I can talk to my PI about adding it to one of our systems to get the OK since I am a graduate student. Thanks! And, I appreciate your time and help! Jodi Connell On Jan 8, 2009, at 10:23 AM, Michal Jarnik wrote: > Bio-Rad Radiance 2000 |

We have a BioRad MRC1000 unit with Axiovert 25 scope that we are not giving
away, but can let go at a very attractive price. The laser was recently rebuilt. Contact me offline if any interest. Dr. Gary B. For interest.
We also have a Biorad Radiance 2000 system on an Olympus BX60 scope. I recently upgraded it to Version 6 of the software and Windows XP for a fraction of the price Zeiss were going to charge for the upgrade. It requires a little fiddling and a new firewire card. Email me for details: [hidden email] It works great and the scope is a workhorse, a great introduction to confocal microscopy as it is not too complicated and scary like some of the others out there. However they are discontinuing service on the machine in September. What is the working condition of the microscope? The laser? We are
interested in learning more about the system and making an offer.
