Dear all,

Last Autumn, we released our Huygens software with new GPU acceleration
functionality. After having received lots of user feedback we think it
is about time that we place an announcement on the CLS.

The advanced CUDA-based GPU acceleration offers the same reliable
results as CPU-based processing in Huygens, though much faster. Combined
with the unique brick splitting technology, Huygens is able to correct
for spherical aberration optimally, and is capable to process extreme
large datasets, such as those from e.g., Light Sheet/SPIM modalities, on
GPU boards.

The gain in performance with GPU acceleration in all Huygens basics is
already convincing with cards with limited V-RAM (1 Gb), and increases
many-fold with high-end Nvidia cards.

Please visit www.svi.nl/HuygensGPU for more information on testing the
GPU functionality and on the performance increase with different Nvidia
cards.
We wish to express our gratitude to all our users that contributed to
this overview with their benchmark results.

Kind regards,
Vincent
