Dear Farid--
I'm looking back at my 1991 paper on hydroxystilbamidine and it looks
as if it ought to be quite excitable by 405 nm at pH 9. However, it
looks only minimally excitable at pH 5. My recollection is that others
have published imaging hydroxystilbamidine using 405 nm excitation but I
don't know the references off the top of my head.
Good luck!
