Dear Bioimaging Scientists,

This year, the Spanish Network for Advanced Optical Microscopy (REMOA, www.remoa.net<http://www.remoa.net> ) and the Portuguese Platform for Bioimaging (PPBI, www.ppbi.pt<http://www.ppbi.pt> ) will join for a second time, following the former successful meeting 2016 in Bilbao, Spain, in order to celebrate the II Spanish-Portuguese Meeting for Advanced Optical Microscopy (SPAOM2018, www.spaom2018.com<http://www.spaom2018.com> ).
This event will take place in Granada, Spain, from the 24th to 26th (Wednesday to Friday) of October 2018.
The Scientific Committee of the Congress and Local Organizers have defined an appealing scientific program, with world-class scientists and full of opportunities for bioimaging scientists and professionals from Spain, Portugal and beyond to meet and interact within this growing community.
These opportunities include lectures by 2 keynote speakers, 14 invited speakers, selected speakers, numerous flash communications, poster presentations, a broad commercial exhibition with 12 company workshops, a wide participation of REMOA/PPBI members in 7 Community Technological Workshops (our networks signature), and of course, social events.
Moreover, we have recently agreed with our media partner MDPI, a leading publisher of open access journals, that will prepare a special issue of the journal "METHODS AND PROTOCOLS" for the conference, which is free of publishing charges for manuscripts accepted this year.

We cordially invite you to participate in our meeting and we encourage you to submitt your work for oral or poster presentation. But please be aware that deadlines for SPAOM2018 are fast approaching!
