Grade 8: £37,012 - £44,166 with a discretionary range to £48,246 p.a.


The Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (WIMM) has secured £1.5 million from the Wolfson Foundation to help establish a core imaging facility including novel super-resolution (STED, PALM/STORM) microscopes.

Funded for 5 years in the first instance, the Imaging Facility Manager is a new role and presents an exciting opportunity to develop and manage the new state of the art core facility.

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility, you will also work closely with the senior academics in the Institute to plan future developments.

You will have a PhD or a degree in a relevant scientific discipline, considerable imaging expertise, experience of managing a core facility and a drive to develop these skills further. A fundamental understanding of both physics and biology and experience in computing, especially with regards to image analysis, are essential.
