This is achieved through discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy. *Optical Biofluidics Imaging Group (O-BIG) <https://leenewt3.wixsite.com/aomlab>* comprises of a team of multi-disciplinary imaging scientists (optics, biochemistry, computing) that develops and hosts a range of cutting-edge volumetric bioimaging optical tools, supported by a series of national competitive funds (ARC, NHMRC, ACRF). Each 4D optical microscopy tools are tailored to investigate biological fluid flow in a biological relevant models (microfluidics, organiods and mice model). For example, our Raster Adaptive Optics (RAO, patent pending- *2019904929 <http://pericles.ipaustralia.gov.au/ols/auspat/applicationDetails.do?applicationNo=2019904929>*) formed the basis for 2x National in vivo Imaging Initiatives (ACRF InCite and ARC-LIEF) to study trafficking immune and cancer cells in ECM in mice models. Our COSI system is used by National Platelet Referral and Research Centre of flowing blood platelets for the early diagnosis of embolus formation using microchips. Our methods are published in high impact method journals such as Nature Protocols, Lab On Chip, Biophys J, Cell, Biomed Opt Exp, Blood Advances, Sci Rep, Advanced Biosyst as well as specialised physical sciences journals such Opt Lett, Physical Review A, Opt Express, App Phys Lett etc *The Imaging Scientist will be based within the John Curtin School of Medical Research and reports to the Head of the Optical Biofluidics Imaging Group (O-BIG) and supports a range of activities for scientific research, teaching and industry partners. The core responsibility will include (but not limited to): daily operation and development of advanced optical imaging instruments, preparation of microfluidics devices, management and liaison with research and teaching staffs. *This will be an exciting role suited to a dynamic individual who is keen to develop knowledge in imaging science, contribute to biomedicine and be at the forefront of field of imaging science. This position is for two years fixed term with a possibility of extension.
