This tool is available here at McGill since both the CIAN and the IF hold Imaris floating licenses. Training will cover all aspects of the software and include: * lectures on software modules by Bitplane Applications specialists * hands on exercises (one computer per attendee) * lively discussions and opportunity to work on your own images, optimize your analysis techniques, and develop solutions to your research needs Novel and advanced Imaris users are welcome to attend: you can register for the entire workshop (3 days) or for 1 or 2 days only, depending on the level of information you want to get. Workshop will cover - 3D visualization and isosurfaces, 3D measurements, 3D tracking over time, filament tracing (quantify 1o, 2 o, 3 o branch points in neurons), plotting of data and annotating images, ImarisXT for interfacing with MatLab, ImarisCell for cellular data (number of vesicles per cell, nuclear area per cell etc.) Bring your own data for analysis.
