Location-Bannockburn, IL Responsibilities: The Inside Sales Representative role is of critical importance to both the short- term targets and the long-term aims of Life Science Division (LSD). This position’s primary responsibilities include: 1. Inside Sales 2. Telemarketing 3. Product and Customer Support Products: Life Science Research Equipment including Routine VibratomeTM specimen preparation and Stereotaxic animal surgery products 1. Provide first-class internal sales support within the global market for the LSD, ensuring sales targets are achieved. Serve as primary contact for customers seeking additional information on research and histology instrumentation, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Maintain sales data base and manage customer record files. Prepare formal quotes including custom orders and proformas (including quote generation for Innovation Manager). Demonstrate familiarity with sales reports and understand monthly and yearly budget vs. actual. 2. Organize and execute sales lead follow-up communications via telephone. Follow-up on quote requests generated from MyNeuroLab, and Vibratome websites (within 24 hours). Telemarketing to life scientists with potential interest in microscopy, sample preparation and stereotaxic products. 3. Answer incoming sales and support phone calls during standard business hours. Answer technical service inquiries via phone or email. Manage escalated customer communications. Requirements: B.A. or B.S. Science or Business related field. Minimum 1-3 years experience in a sales environment. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and writing skills are required to interact with customers, other employees and management; requires the ability to anticipate and solve problems. Ability to develop relationships and credibility with individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Complex problem solving skills - Define customer problems and determine solutions in order to drive revenue for the company.
