I have three dichroic mounts and need to swap out one dichroic for an updated version. Yokogawa no longer supports the CSU-10, so any advice would be appreciated. Best regards, Steve ___ Stephen C. I believe the dichroics themselves were from Chroma. Hope that helps.... It can be done in about 15 minutes. The thing to be careful with is not to remove the screws completely and not to scratch the light absorbing surface of the retaining spring and light shield. Having the right screw driver helps; PH000 x 40 (Wiha) works. The shields are available but expensive and delicate. The newer model CSUX and W1 systems are easier. Be careful to insert the dichroic all the way up to the seat limit and have the dichroic oriented correctly with the coated side facing the microscope. Also avoid doing this in dusty rooms and do not use canned air to blow off dust,... better done with squeeze bulb with filtered air intake. Not rocket science, but does take some care. These dichroics are extremely thin and fragile, and I have seen the results when they are not installed properly or carefully - shattered glass and/or scratched disks which lead to even more expensive problems. The exchange should also be done in a clean environment to prevent dust from landing on the disks. Please contact your local Andor representative for a quote for this kind of work, or let me know if need help locating a representative.
